A LESS PLASTICY HALLOWEEN?

Baking pumpkin-shaped biscuits.

Halloween might be fun for many, but the modern version with shop-bought plastic costumes and treat buckets is hardly environmentally friendly.

In an effort to reduce the damage caused, The Wildlife Trusts have put together a short guide for those wanting to make Halloween less of a scary plastic experience.

How to have a plastic-free Halloween includes ideas for reusable treat containers (try upcycling a plastic tub), home-baked treats and decorations (think paper ghosts, leaf lanterns and string spider webs) and using pumpkins for food (who’d have thought?) rather than just carving and dumping them.
