Each of the businesses participating in the Refill scheme displays the Refill logo in their window and is registered on the Refill app.
The Refill app enables users to find local Refill Stations, where they can top up water bottles for free. There are currently more than 20,000 businesses in the UK participating in the scheme.
If you are a business interested in offering to refill drink or food containers, please get in touch with our local representative by emailing Shannon Jones, by tweeting @MoldRefill or by using the form below.
A Q&A with Shannon, in which she explains her motivation for promoting the scheme, is available here [PDF].
Wales is already in the top five countries for using the Refill app and Refill Wales wants the country to be the world’s number one for using it.
From 1 October 2020, the Refill app shows people not only where they can get water bottles refilled for free, but also where they can shop for plastic free goods, get their own reusable coffee mug filled, use their own containers for buying food etc, and find a water fountain.
Available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play, the Refill app also allows businesses to join the network by adding their own details.
Information about the changes can be found on the Refill website.
