High street chemist Boots is to stop selling plastic-based wet wipes in its UK stores.

Wet wipes are found in 140 product lines across the company’s skincare, baby, tissue and health care ranges.

Boots is one of the biggest sellers of wet wipes, with over 800 million sold last year either through its 2200 stores or online.
