The founder of City to Sea, Natalie Fée, has given an interview to The FRANK Magazine.

Explaining why she thinks that recycling is not the answer to tackling plastic pollution, Natalie Fée points out that less than 10% of all the plastic that’s ever been produced has actually been recycled, with the rest either going to landfill or being incinerated.

She’s also not a great fan of bioplastics, which she describes as “just another throw-away product” which often doesn’t lend itself to home composting.

The City to Sea Plastic Free Periods campaign also gets a mention, in what is an interesting insight into the motivation and thinking of one of the leading lights of the anti-plastic movement.
