CIRCULAR ECONOMY IN WALES

Cover of Welsh Government circular economy consultation - report on outcome

The Welsh Government has published a summary of responses to its recent consultation on the circular economy.

‘Beyond Recycling’ sought views on proposals to:

  • move towards zero waste by 2050;
  • scrutinise how resources are used;
  • encourage the reuse, repair and remanufacture of products and materials; and
  • maximise the economic and social opportunities of a more circular economy.

Some 1000 citizens and stakeholders submitted responses and/or attended events across Wales during the consultation, which ended on 24 April.

A summary of responses, and associated documents, is available at https://gov.wales/circular-economy-strategy.
