GRAND WELSH LITTER PICK

Grand-Welsh-Litter-Pick

The week running up to St David’s Day has been designated Grand Week in Wales, with people encouraged to take part in a range of “feel good” community challenges including The Grand Welsh Litter Pick.

Organised by the Green Paw Project in association with Deeside-based community organisation Nanny Biscuit, The Grand Welsh Litter Pick seeks to raise funds for the Green Paw tree-planting scheme.

The target is to collect 1,000 bags of plastic through individual and (Covid-secure) group litter picks between 22 February and 1 March.

Every £2 raised will go towards planting a tree in Wales, says the Green Paw Project, thereby creating a double win of both removing litter and planting new trees to offset carbon emissions.
