Mold Plastic Reduction (MPR) is holding an online Candidates Husting (via Zoom) between 8pm and 9pm on Wednesday 19 June.

All seven candidates for the new parliamentary seat of Clwyd East, where Mold is situated, have been invited.

Details of the candidates can be seen on the Who Can I Vote For website.

This is a golden opportunity to discuss with our next MP the importance of reducing the use of plastic, especially the single-use variety, and to explore related matters such as environmental protection, the circular economy, and the Deposit Return Scheme. It’s also a chance to push the plastic-free cause further up the political agenda and to secure commitments from our next representative at Westminster.

You are welcome to suggest a question to be put to the candidates, which we will consider alongside all other suggestions.

The event will be moderated by Stephen Maund, a member of the MPR Steering Group.

To take part, please reserve a place by emailing The Zoom link will be sent on the afternoon of Wednesday 19 June.
