Most households in Wales already separate their recyclable and non-recyclable waste.
From 1 October 2023, all non-domestic premises (including businesses, public bodies and third sector organisation) will be legally required to separate key recyclable waste materials for collection.
The Welsh Government has launched a consultation to seek views on a proposed code of practice for the new requirements.
The deadline for comments is 15 February; responses will inform the final drafting of the code and of the proposed Waste (Amendment) (Wales) Regulations 2023.
