Having successfully introduced the Refill scheme to tackle the problem of single use drinks bottles, campaign group City to Sea is now turning its attention to takeaway food packaging.
Responding to what it says is a huge increase in the number of enquiries from businesses about single-use packaging, City to Sea has published a guide to reusable and disposable options in the food-to-go sector.
Available to download as a PDF file, the guide looks at different types of materials and how they can be used to reduce plastic use.
Although aimed primarily at businesses, it has some useful insights for those of us who are simply interested in the issue of plastic waste and how to tackle it.
